Nothing, not really, but the first title that came to mind was something to do with Footloose. Besides that, anyone who is anybody in this world knows that everything is linked to K-Bake-On one way or another. This post is for David, A good friend of ours who bought Charlie a Beautiful little pair of booties. We've had this photo for a little while but have been incredibly terrible in not posting it up, cause it is damn cute.
Thanks David, for the shoes!

Wow,
It's been positively ages since my last update. I ofcourse offer my unreserved appology and in some small way of recompense I can offer a free 6 kg Novelty tub of Talcum Powder to the reader who sends me the greatest tale of woe that has arisen from not seeing fresh pictures of Charlie. Entrys are to be in Essay format and there is a 1500 word limit. A $7 administration fee is also applicable to all entrys.
Now that that's out of the way.. We're both feeling the strain. Charlie isnt eating properly still. On good days she eats about 3/4's of what she should be eating. She should be spurting along in growth spasms right now but instead progress is very slow. She's rejected the breast entirely now and we have had to make the switch to bottles and formula after a very hard couple of weeks trying to stick with Breast Milk. Its been hell on Sam.
The bottle and formula had immediate possitive effects on Charlie. Feeding is now much less traumatic for everyone, but still far from perfect. She's still in obvious pain and discomfort whilst feeding, the poor thing, but its seems to have atleast become fairly predictable from day to day. She's on medication which is supposed to kick in after around 3 weeks, so we're hoping that will make things easier on her.
We want to see some big weight gains! The good news is that when she does get to have a good feed, she is just the most adorable little button of love ever. What am I saying, she's always adorable and way ahead of the curve developmentayl wise, but it must be hard for her, always being hungry but not able to eat. All her body wants to do is grow but it's a tough ask at the moment. I think you need a new picture to remind you how cute she is!

She's been smiling so much lately. I realised that we haven't put any good smiling pictures up on the net yet. So time to fix that! I've compiled a list of the top 10 things that she now smiles at:

Sorry to Mum and everyone else. Our Camera went on the fritz and we only just now have been able to procure a suitable replacement. Theres been lots of ups and downs lately, but our little girl, when she's not crying, she's smilin!
We got a package in the mail the other day from Tim and Mel. Love you both guys! So I thought I'd lead the return blog off with your present first.
It suits her!

So, I thought it was time to make the switch to something a little more sophisticated than the template from iweb. The program itself is fine and the editing etc quite excellent but uploading to anything other than a .mac account was as clunky as hell.
So here we go. New site, and first entry.
Charlie didn't sleep at all yesterday (Sunday). Well that's a lie. She slept about 2 hours from 5:30am onwards. She's been very grumpy and spent about 5 or 6 hours crying. It was probably her worst day yet. It seems the digestive problems she is having really flaired up and started causing her a lot of pain. When she cried she would go all stiff armed, and her legs would jerk about and she would arch her back. The Poor little thing would scream her lungs out until she either burped or farted.
All day of this, and by 1:30am we decided to take her to the hospital to get her checked out. We drove up to the Royal Childrens and thankfully there wasnt much of a wait at that time of night, We got taken straight into a room and the Nurses came and checked on us straight away. She was weighed, (4.99kg) poked and prodded. Apart from everyone telling us she is very beautiful, there wasn't much else anyone could add. The Doctor says physically she appears in perfect order and just for us to continue on her prescribed meds.
So we got home at 2:30 or 3 and straight to bed. Charlie slept thank the Gods (assorted) and now I'm off to work.
