Check out the Smile

She's been smiling so much lately. I realised that we haven't put any good smiling pictures up on the net yet. So time to fix that! I've compiled a list of the top 10 things that she now smiles at:

  1. Getting Kissed
  2. Boobs
  3. Nappy changes
  4. Toys
  5. Her Hands
  6. Her Mum
  7. Her Dad
  8. Wiggely Woo (as performed by Play School and Sam)
  9. Flowers
  10. Lights
I've also been working real hard at getting her to stick her tongue out. She seems to like me doing it so much that I thought the kid would appreciate being able to do it herself. She's made so much progress over the last few days that she gets it out past the lips on atleast 80% of attempts. You can see it takes a toll on her though. The look of concentration on her face as she tries to poke it out is amazing.

Sam also said tonight that her ears are starting to poke out like mine did when i was little. Another wingnut? Too early to tell perhaps, I sure can't see anything.

Anyways, on the with the photos.

Love,

Damien and Sam.

We're back! With Bolivian stuff

Sorry to Mum and everyone else. Our Camera went on the fritz and we only just now have been able to procure a suitable replacement. Theres been lots of ups and downs lately, but our little girl, when she's not crying, she's smilin!

We got a package in the mail the other day from Tim and Mel. Love you both guys! So I thought I'd lead the return blog off with your present first.

It suits her!

A New Beginning

So, I thought it was time to make the switch to something a little more sophisticated than the template from iweb. The program itself is fine and the editing etc quite excellent but uploading to anything other than a .mac account was as clunky as hell.

So here we go. New site, and first entry.

Charlie didn't sleep at all yesterday (Sunday). Well that's a lie. She slept about 2 hours from 5:30am onwards. She's been very grumpy and spent about 5 or 6 hours crying. It was probably her worst day yet. It seems the digestive problems she is having really flaired up and started causing her a lot of pain. When she cried she would go all stiff armed, and her legs would jerk about and she would arch her back. The Poor little thing would scream her lungs out until she either burped or farted.

All day of this, and by 1:30am we decided to take her to the hospital to get her checked out. We drove up to the Royal Childrens and thankfully there wasnt much of a wait at that time of night, We got taken straight into a room and the Nurses came and checked on us straight away. She was weighed, (4.99kg) poked and prodded. Apart from everyone telling us she is very beautiful, there wasn't much else anyone could add. The Doctor says physically she appears in perfect order and just for us to continue on her prescribed meds.

So we got home at 2:30 or 3 and straight to bed. Charlie slept thank the Gods (assorted) and now I'm off to work.
